How long will it take to set up my new spray tanning business?
Once we receive your order to proceed with the Business Start Up Package, we'll arrange for despatch of your equipment within 10 business days. We will then issue you a design brief to complete so that we have all of the specific information we need for your website (e.g. pricing, contact details). Your website will be created for you, and will be ready to go live within 10 days of confirmation of details.
Your business cards will take approximately 1 month from signup as these are professionally offset printed by our suppliers in Sydney.
How many hours per week will I have to work?
It's your business! So as many or as little as you like - the beauty of this business is in it's total flexibility. You're the boss so you can book appointments whenever you like.
It makes this the perfect business for mums who need to work around their family commitments, or anyone wanting to work part time or full time with flexibility. You have the option of operating this as a mobile business, or setting up an area in your home and having clients come to you. The equipment included in our Business Start Up Package is perfect for either.
Are there any ongoing costs for the business?
Obviously supplies such as tanning solution - these can either be ordered through us, or through any other tanning solution supplier. As your business becomes busier, we recommend buying solution in larger quantities as this is more economical.
For your website, we include 1 years website hosting and domain registration in your Start Up Package, and renewal of this is $216 for hosting and $34 for domain registration per year. You are free to have your site hosted by any other business though, it's your business so it's up to you!

How long does it take to do a spray tan?
The whole treatment, including prepping your client and the actual spray tanning, can be done in 15 minutes. We include a full training manual and instructions with our package (and even face to face training for clients based in Brisbane, or on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast).
How much should I charge for each spray tan?
We recommend charging $30 to $30 if clients come to you, or up to $45 per spray tan if doing mobile treatments. Given that the treatment only takes about 15 minutes to complete, this allows for a great profit margin. The solution per spray tan will cost you approx $6.
So, for example, if you book 8 spray tans in a day, you can earn up to $360 (less the cost of the solution for 8 tans, approx. $48) leaving $312 for 2 hours of actual work (8 x 15 min treatments).
If I'm doing mobile treatments, how long does it take to set up at a client's home?
Only a few minutes as your client should be expecting you and be ready for their treatment. It's as simple as popping up your tent, plugging in your spray tanning machine, and doing the treatment. Then while you're waiting a few minutes for your client's tan to dry, fold down your tent and put your equipment away.
